All CUHK full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students (with or without part-time academic or research duties) may submit application.
Full time research staff such as post-doc fellow and research assistant are NOT eligible.
Individual or Group Entries
Individual Entries – 1-2 student(s) The applicant shall be the principal candidate who contributes to more than 60% of the subject work. A principal candidate of individual entries may be supported by one collaborator, who is also a CUHK full-time student, contributing not more than 40% of the subject work
Group Entries – 3 students or more A team shall consist of 3 CUHK full-time students or more.
Undergraduate/Postgraduate collaborations
Undergraduate students and postgraduate students are allowed to collaborate on a project.
If a postgraduate student is included in an entry, the entry will be classified under the "Postgraduate Entries" category.
A student can ONLY be the principal candidate of one entry. A student cannot join more than 2 projects in any categories.
Every entry MUST be supervised and/or endorsed by a faculty member of CUHK.
The following projects will NOT be considered for entry:
Any projects which have been awarded with prizes in international or national competitions.
Any research projects which have been published in full in a journal. However, this limitation does not apply to conference abstracts.

ADJUDICATION
1. Entries will be adjudicated by a Judging Panel comprising full-time Professors.
2. The number of awards for each category will depend on the quality of the works / projects submitted for the year and will be determined by the Judging Panel each year.
3. The Office of Research and Knowledge Transfer Services (ORKTS) will oversee the management of the competition and selection of entries.
